Title: Computer Vision for Systems Biology
Authors: Gaudenz Danuser; Scripps Research Institute
Abstract: This short paper introduces the scope of our special emphasis session on Computer Vision for Systems Biology. It attempts to define the needs for computer vision based readouts in systems biological research and to shed light on some of the challenges computer vision researchers should tackle for the systems biology community. Finally, it will give a short overview of the invited and contributed papers that will be presented in this session.
